Hey loves! I hope your week so far has been okay, but I'm sure you could a quick and easy dinner/lunch right now. So for fun I been posting snips or meals I make on twitter. Just of recently I decided to share all my dinner recipes & tips here on my blog. Today were making Crusted Lemon Pepper Salmon. This meal honestly takes no more than 10 minutes to prep and make....So anyone at any cooking skill level should be able to cook this. Plus its just a really tasty grub to make from home.
The Ingredients
Salmon: You can buy the salmon in whole or in portions. Depending on how much I cook I usually just buy portion sizes but it could be cheaper to just buy a whole salmon & cut them into portions yourself. If you don't like the skin you can easily peel it off after your salmon is cooked. Pre-cut salmon from the grocery store normally comes without the skin attached.
Lemon Pepper: Adds the citrus flavor & a bit of a kick to the salmon without over seasoning it. (If your using lemon juice you may not need to season with lemon pepper. Salt & Pepper will work just fine)
4 Tbls - Butter (Unsalted): Now I don't know about yall...but I like my food to taste good. In other words I like flavor. I use about 4 Tbls of butter & let that melt in the po
Olive Oil: I usually eyeball the amount with is roughly a little under 1/4 cup. Anyway this adds those healthy fats and makes it slightly crispy while cooking in the pan.
Fresh Parsley or Parsley Flakes: Always garnish your salmon with some herbs after its cooked through. (Whaaaat it looks pretty & taste good)
Optional Ingredients:
Lemon: Use lemon zest as a garnish if you like. I usually squeeze lemon juice in cooking pan after first side of salmon is cooked thru then I base the salmon with the butter & lemon juice.
