Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora
Welcome, fellow readers! Originally, I didn't plan on mapping out a full text review for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, but since streaming it on Twitch I have been graced with a large amount of viewers asking me what are my honest thoughts of the game. So...to avoid sounding like a repeated broken record I decided to put out this written review alone with clips featuring my live streams for those that don't feel like reading through all of this for insight on Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora.
For those that don't care to read this entire post, check out my clip below of me giving my honest feedback of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora.
Initial Thoughts
Now for my readers looking for an in depth explanation of the playthrough for Avatar. One of the things I'd like to mention is the lack of loud advertisement on Ubisoft's end. I do have a few assumptions of why Ubisoft may have mapped out the promotion that way. My first assumption is that Ubisoft maybe believed the Avatar brand name carries itself enough to peak the interest of gamers and avatar fans. The other reason is maybe the cost would've been too high for their budget of the game. I say this because Avatar plays so well and looks amazing in game.
Game Features
- Camera - mostly is first person (3rd person on sky, land mounts, & using in game emotes)
- Unique Combat - melee, weapon, & aerial (on mount). Feels good and simple but does offer a challenge as well. On controller, doesn't feel like there is any aim assist, but is not difficult to control.
- Organized UI - character inventory is sorted, easy to slot gear and weapons. Also, in-game information on enemies, territories, wild life are provided as well.
- Co-op - You are able to play with one other person who has the game. It is also crossplay compatible.
Future Content
Not only does the game play well, Ubisoft really considered the longevity of the game. As of right now they are looking to launch two separate DLC that is offered with their season pass.
- Story Pack #1: The Sky Breaker (Summer 2024)
- Story Pack #2: Secrets of the Spires (Fall 2024)
I will be adding more details to this post as I progress through my playthru. In the meantime, check out my live streams on twitch at RedCarpetGamez.
