Well, hello readers! I know it's been a while since I actually dropped a game hype post, in fact, I can admit I've been kinda neglecting being consistent with posts on this blog, but I've gotten back into the groove of writing again -- so let's get into it!
As some of you may know, I am a big fan of horror genre games. Especially when they feature excitement around being fully immersive, and it is actually terrifying (horror games don't scare me that much). So yeah, I'm super hype for the announcement of Scary Cargo. Below are some details we know so far following its announcement:
Release Date: Coming Soon (as of May 2025)
-
Platforms: Windows, macOS, Linux
-
Developer/Publisher: Nihat Özdemir
Overview:
Scary Cargo is a 1–4 player online co-op survival horror game that challenges players to deliver cargo through cursed, monster-infested zones. While the mission seems straightforward—deliver the cargo and stay alive—the game introduces a unique twist:
"But when one of you dies, they might not stay dead. They’ll look the same. Sound the same. And they’ll remember everything: the plan, the route… even you."
This mechanic adds a layer of psychological horror, as fallen teammates may return, indistinguishable from their former selves, turning trust into a potential liability.
Key Features:
-
Dynamic Threats: Encounter a variety of monsters, each with unique behaviors. Some may freeze you with a gaze, while others strike from above, ensuring that danger can come from any direction.
-
Proximity Voice Chat: Enhances immersion and tension, allowing for real-time communication—and potential betrayal—among players.
-
Replayable Mayhem: Each delivery mission offers a unique experience, with varying challenges and scenarios, promoting high replayability.
-
Full Controller Support: Ensures accessibility across different player preferences.
Scary Cargo is also listed as "Coming Soon" on Steam. So if you're a fan of horror games, then go ahead and add it to your Steam wishlist. The system requirements indicate that you'll need to have at least 4 GB of RAM and an Intel Core i5-12400T CPU.
